Celtic Stones of Protection

The project required me to look into a culture that wasn’t my own and create a public installation that related to it. After hours of research of various cultures and how to appropriately represent it. I came across the Celtic knot. The Celtic knot were intricate and well-weaved symbols that the Norse and other groups of Europe would place on armor, fabrics, and other meaningful canvases. The symbol’s meaning varied from life, spiritual union, faith, etc… This one in particular stands for protection.
